James_Russell
Please note, SIBs for De-Dion chassis cars won't fit. Mine is a bit mangled and needs replacement for this season.
Area Representative z7 Posted January 5, 2012 Area Representative Share Posted January 5, 2012 James, I have one that I bought used but never got around to fitting. I think it's like this but I won't be able to check until the weekend. Is that what you're after? z7
James_Russell
That particular one is for a De-Dion car, unless I'm missing something? Thanks anyway!
Area Representative z7 Posted January 6, 2012 Area Representative Share Posted January 6, 2012 I was told it was for a LA when I bought it but I'll have a proper look over the weekend and post back here.

Matthew Willoughby
If it is a live axle bar it will look different to the photo that you linked to where the bar is attached near the rear suspension turret.
Area Representative z7 Posted January 7, 2012 Area Representative Share Posted January 7, 2012 Hi James, OK, I dug out the SIB and unfortunately it is as I linked to. So no use to you, and I was sold, and bought, one that is no use to me. ☹️ Sorry I couldn't help - but have a BTTT. z7
James_Russell
Z7, that's a shame ☹️ I know there aren't a lot of these out there. I had six made by Arch at the start of 2010 for myself and five other competitors in live-axle cars because I couldn't find a used one- it brought the cost down from £110+vat to about £80 inc. if I remember correctly. Unfortunately mine has already done it's job and protected me from side impact at Brands Hatch, so it is now due a replacement. If you want a SIB for your car, I can investigate a bulk buy? If we can get a few more people on board, maybe we can repeat the previous deal?
Area Representative z7 Posted January 9, 2012 Area Representative Share Posted January 9, 2012 James, I'm not really looking for a SIB but if you need me to make up the numbers, BM me and I'll reconsider. Good luck.
