myothercarsa2cv
Have you thought about modifying your existing one? Oily reckons it gives 95% of the (tiny) gain, and it's free 😬 here 😶🌫️
mav
Moca2cv he wants to go from plastic to Ali as well...
Titanium7
I have an aluminium 48mm one going spare, as new. If you remove the 'cheese wedge' it is virtually as good as a 52mm one. £15 + postage.
maxdog
I've done this while trying to solve an idle speed problem. Can't say there's any real difference on a standard setup. Although she doesn't 'hold the revs' as much Was a mg zf 160'part about £50 off of eBay Now I begin to wonder if it also has a removable cheese wedge can't say I noticed when I fitted it? myothercarsa2cv
I don't believe the 52mm TB does have a wedge. Why the 48mm one does is a mystery... It's utterly pointless. Does having an ally TB over a plastic one make any difference apart from not being able to squish it with the filter?
maxdog
Presumably not, that said when I got mine I didn't see any 52mm in plastic. Off topic but I'm intending to get the head sorted when I get he funds together so made sense at the time to replace with a
