eric
The anti drift system will be obliged in any car sold in Europe from 2014. The ABS ( brake system) is linked to ESP. Do you think the 2 systems fit wit the new Caterham ?
Shad
Isn't there a rule/law that says all new cars must have ABS as well? And it doesn't apply to small volume manufacturers like Caterham? I expect it will be the same for ESP too.

eric
from what I know, the ESP cannot work without ABS. From 2014, each new car (from a small or a big manufacturer) will have the ESP. This technology will change our Caterham. A caterham with an ABS and an ESP with all the electronic needed, will be a new experience.
rgrigsby
I can't find the article now but there are exemtions for certain vehicles which I'm guessing is where Caterham and numeroues other small volume manufacturers will fit in. It would a major job to for ABS and ESP/ESC to a Caterham, not impossible but certainly not straight forward.
millsn
Two possible avenues 1) only requires an off switch, or 2) they never "sell" the car to you
