Super_Rich_Bernie
I have read some posts from a while back explaining how to change the baffle in the XE Vauxhall engines. Given Caterham used the same sump pan on the 1600 Vauxhall engines can I assume I have the same arrangement of a 'sump/gasket/windage plate/2nd gasket/crankcase' sandwich ? So should my parts list should be: 2 gaskets 1 sump foam some thread lock for the pick up pipe some gasket sealer In the past I have sealed things like this with a smear of blue hylomar to stick the gasket to one face, and some grease on the other face so it all comes to bits easily - but the threads mention using high temp silicone gasket seal. Is the silicone seal a better option? thanks in advance for advice Jonathan
