Uneven hubs?

Couldn't think of what to call this one but my rear wheels stick out by different amounts, I've not really noticed before but the right hand rear sticks out between 5 and 10mm more than the left hand one!?

Any ideas? *idea*

Please don't make it a serious problem as I'm going to Llandow on sunday...

de-dion or live axle???

With live axle, this may be a strange symptom of the migrating bearing problem where the half shaft starts to move down the axle tube.

Otherwise, the position of the axle/de-dion tube is by the A-frame. This in turn is located 'relative to the chassis' using washers and this would have occured at build time.

Oops forgot to mention it's a de-dion!

I had a feeling the A-frame would come into it somewhere *confused* Are the bushes in said A-frame easy to change ie DIY job or proper grown up?

My biggest worry is that the chassis has been bent at some point ☹️

Is the middle of the 'A' frame centre bush central between the rear lower frame members?

If so, is the corresponding bracket on the DD tube central?

My 'A' frame needed spacing 4mm (with washers), to the OS to make the 'real' middle (equi distant from each hub), central.

Checking and rectifying this is reccomended in Tony Weale's book on the 7 so it's probably not a rare occurance.

Still not 'spotted' ☹️
