Fast Westie
See Rally Design they have some brakets you can weld to the axle to fit Sierra rear calipers and disks. The car in front is a Westfie1d
DanB
I've had this done on my English rear axle using the Rally Design brackets IIRC. it uses XR4x4 rear calipers and Fiesta solid front discs. Once you've got the brackets welded on it's a pretty straightforward conversion, if a little on the heavy side. Dan
sgroves
I fitted a Rally Design kit to my Escort rally car about 10 years ago. It worked really well apart from the handbrake mechanism, however i had a hydraulic handbrake system which worked fine. The only problem was getting it through the MOT. Dudjack
I am sure it works well on escort MK2 but caterham's flanges are differents from yours. Dudjack

I don't understand this, I thought the Caterhams used a standard Escort Mk2 axle? Anyone car to comment? I did also hear that Peugeut 205 GTI rear calipers are lighter since they are all alloy, but you would need different brackets The car in front is a Westfie1d
DanB
Me neither, my set-up is on a Fisher Fury with the Sylva-style 5 bar linkage and it works fine - although my handbrake isn't the greatest either (massive understatement). I'm thinking about converting to alloy 2-pots and a separate mechanical handbrake caliper though... Dan
