Fiesta,Razzle magazines. Various years

Does the magazine include a full road test of the special edition Ford Fiesta 'Razzle'?

IIRC it was de-speced version of the XR2i.

It was a low price offering to give the cheap thrills to those who could not get 'the real thing'.

Included wipe-down vinyl seats, extra courtesy lights for use when 'parked', discreet dark blue or black paint and a 'delete' option on the demister (no wonder the windows were always steamed up!)

Eventually the model was dropped because part of the de-spec was to fit thinner rubber. This led to handling problems compared with the XR2, particularly in slippery conditions. There were unconfirmed reports of owners coming together with scenery down remote country lanes.

The model was replaced with the Escort 'Encore'. As it's name implies this model allowed it's customers repeat performances on demand. It also benefitted from much more commodious reclining seat arrangement.

However, to the classic car enthusiast, the Fiesta 'Razzle' will always be the collectable model as it represents the original pioneering and most basic entry point to this market sector.

Quoting ric:
It's a sad state of affairs when this thread only gets marginally more views than the one for the Land Rover Defender 200tdi posted on the same day.

😬 😬

Yeah, I agree 100%...Why has the LR thread got so many views...?! 😔
