Area Representative manningpaul Posted November 30, 2011 Author Area Representative Share Posted November 30, 2011 Well a big sigh of relief today, where there should be a spigot roller bearing Phillip and I found just the outer casing. A phone call to Redline confirmed that is the likely problem and parts ordered, while it is apart am not taking any chances, and hopefully it will be back together on Sunday. Thanks to everyone that offered advice, that alone in my eyes is worth the years membership
Mark Durrant
You will need to remove the remains of the spigot bearing and the replacement is likely to need a little fettling to the outside so it will fit in the end of the crank. A little bearing lock is also advisable so it stays put
John Vine
Excellent news! I'm delighted you've pinned it down. [cracked-record mode] If you haven't already addressed the CRB pre-load problem, now would be a good time. If you need more info, I can help.
