ruff seven
Does anyone know if there are any quite airboxes for Jenvy,s on a Duratec ?
Support Team Shaun_E Posted November 3, 2011 Support Team Share Posted November 3, 2011 Same question was asked on Pistonheads this week here, but with no definitive answer yet. Jenvey sell a carbon airbox which might do the trick but if you want to swap easily between filter and airbox then some experimentation might be required. I am planning to try their deep filter backplate and hope that one of their standard airboxes will fit. This is on a K series with 45mm Jenveys and no bonnet cutout. I guess you have larger diameter TBs and the filter sticks through the bonnet. Which air filter and backplate are you using at the moment? What length trumpets? 7 wonders of the world
I asked Bernard Scouse over a year back now if he was looking to to make one along the lines of the K version he does, it was on his radar but not sure how far this has progressed, might be worth a call to him at HERE
The Pikey
I fitted the C400 air box on mine and from a noise point of view it seems to work fine but it won't fit Jenveys with the popular 90mm trumpets. Jason
k.russell
pretty sure there must be some thing here from Reverie that may fit the bill. surely it would just be the same as on a VX only on the otherside. my car uses a home made system based along these lines and works well.
