Stef
Hi, Definitely planning to compete next year, car is a bog std 2007 ex academy car so just need to swap the tyres and I think its straight into class 1. 2 questions: -is a LSD allowed in class one, and if so I'm assuming it is worth having fitted? -if tyres up to 205mm width are permitted, do most people use these even with 120bhp or is sountrhing around 165/175 just as competitive? thanks
robmar
Hi Stef - good to know you are planning on competitng I think LSDs are fine and suspect most runner narrower tyres in this class but I have no experience myself rob
Area Representative Richard Price Posted October 7, 2011 Area Representative Share Posted October 7, 2011 Stef, Most class 1 runners are using 185/60-13's, or a few using 195- 15's in either 45 or 50 series. Watch out for an "Introduction to sprinting" day next spring.

Mark Durrant
Hi Stef Yes an LSD is permitted in class 1. If you have 13" wheels then the List 1a tyre of choice as a Yokohama A539 in a 185/60 x 13. No need for a 205 with only 120BHP See you next year and look out for an Intro to Sprinting day next spring.
