2.3 duratec, all rebuilt

Ford Duratec 2.3

 

Used for 6 races in shelsley race car from new, then removed & rebuilt for use in Caterham, with forged pistons & steel rods, this motor is still at the engine builders

 

It made 231BHP @ 6900 RPM & 256 NM of torque, this is with a restrictive standard mondeo exhaust manifold.

We were expecting a further 15 to 20% increase with a proper exhaust manifold

 

Therefore the motor should be good for 260 to 275 BHP with loads of torque
