Edited to add. With no subframes to worry about as there's none on this car, and with no RFL, coupled with £107 insurance and smoke test only MOTs it's an easy car to live with *thumbup*

Quoting Tony Wright:
You should use this round Monaco tomorrow, might be able to keep up with me and Cagey 😬

By the way, how many bloody cars do you have 🤔 Looks like great fun *thumbup*

Down to 1 x 7 and a workhorse when this goes ☹️.............for an hour or so 😬

It is fun Tony but I'd not let Kev near it *wink*

Thanks chaps. Been asked a couple of questions so just to clarify. It will come with 12 months MOT. In fact it's booked in for 12 noon today. It will be a formality.

The car is quick by any standards, I've never had it on track but I'd say it has R300 performance but with lots of torque. I'm not a nutter on the road and the only real time I've booted it in anger was on the way back from Woodvale last year when a Boxter decided to wheelspin away from the lights outside the show to prove some sort of point........the old mini opened 50 metres on it and the case was won within 250 metres without breaking any speed limits *smile*.

The gearbox is the F20 5 speed.

The front subframe is a dedicted spaceframe made by AMT. This uses the original pick up points and allows for the modified and adjustable suspension etc. It is a strurdy and well made chassis reminiscent of Arch's great work.

Paint on car is nice, shiny and smooth..not concors but excellent and as good as most if not better.

Car was built by a garage owner and Porsche GB member and 911 owner. He built it slyly to have a laugh on a couple of trackdays with his Porsche buddies. It did nothing really whilst he had it. I then bought it 18 months ago and got it fully sorted and fully road legal, ironing out any niggles and put a lot of nice bits on it. It was already registered as leyland mini with a 2.0 litre engine when I bought it, and had been for 5 years since it was built, car has always been dry stored and now needs to be used .

Thanks

  • 1 year later...

Never advertised it anywhere else other than here with this thread last year. Done 300 miles since and it's just been under wraps in garage. Got it out last week for its MOT and it's still stunning.

Reduced to 6.5k for quick sale before I throw it to the masses on PH as I will be selling it this time around. Too many cars, not enough space, OH said ☹️

Thanks Kev,appreciated. Last time around it was a knee jerk advert and I was not really 100% hellbent on selling in all honesty. However with a 7 and this and a total years mileage of less than 500 between the 2 of them it's just getting daft ☹️........hopefully the new price will do the trick.

Kenny, try a link to this thread here It worked for me when I found old stuff in my cellar I couldn't even remember having. Sold it all with in the week, albeit I had a few sarcastic remarks about advertising etc.

If you want me to do the link so your not involved let me know 🤔

Obviously it's not the for sale board but as I said before it worked for me in the Mercedes section.
