Fan setting and emerald

Hello Everyone

 

I have a 82 degree thermostat fitted inside the standard PRRT. The engine is a 1.8VVC engine on DTH RB.

 

The question is the following: At what temperature the fan should turn on and what temperature it should turn off?

 

For the time being it is set to turn in at 90 degree and turn off at 87 degrees

With a normal 88°C thermostat I have found that about 10°C headroom over the rated value is required i.e. 98°C on/96°C off. Any lower and the fan stays on when it isn't needed.
