Simon.Rogers1
Never thought I'd see the day that this car moved on but the time has come with the new car build progressing. I need the room. Before I post on PH here is the Spec of my car and some history. Superlight R No. 115 Ordered in September 2001. Delivered on Jan 27th 2002. Registered on April 19th 2002 This car was effectively the first pre production R400 on the road. I can give you the full storey but the car was provided with Roller Barrels as standard with MBE ECU but it retained the individual clocks and gauges. It then was used for the first year predominantly on the road. I then began Sprint and Hill Climbing and along with a young family road use gradually diminished to a level where for the last 4 years it has basically done a couple of track days and 10 or so Sprints/Hills a year. In January of 2009 the car was extensively rebuilt with a full Arch makeover (more detail about this can be provided if you are interested). The car was painted in its current MAZDA True Red colour and twin white stripes. Specification. S3 Wide Track Freestyle Adjustable ARB - front Rear Adjustable ARB - Caterham New uprated De Dion Tube SLR Cage - Caged Racetec Mirrors (New) SLR Exhaust and 4-2-1 collector Silencer (Choice of Cat in Can Carbon skin with or without the CAT inside) Carbon rear wing protectors - Millwood MOG CSR wide Carbon Front Wings MB Wheels - With hard compound Kumho 215/235 tyres (lots of life left) AP Big brakes - Ferodo DS3000 pads on front Standard rear brakes with Mintex 1144 pads Uprated Master Cylinder 22% Quick rack just back from full rebuild (only the casing returned EVERYTHING else new). Rapfix QR Steering wheel. (very Very Cool) 280mm Momo wheel (I can supply new if necessary to smaller diameter) Composite Tillet Seats Titon 6 point belt for Driver (new) Caterham 4 point for passenger. Carbon Bits Carbon Dash AIM Mychron XGLog display/shift lights and Data Logger - Excellent info and direct input from the ECU. ALl channels. Remote Oil Presure sender. Stack Fuel Gauge. New. All electrics run from mini breakers - no fuses. Engine SLR bottom end. New head 6 years ago built by Hellier. I provided a brief that I did not want to push the boundaries but wanted more power with a very driveable power output. I got exactly what I wanted. Its been remapped 3 times in the 6 years bt the 2 Steve's and each time has been within 1 bhp. The last time on the new exhaust it made 219.6bhp Torque 154lb/ft Caterham Dry Sump Running a wasted spark coil pack and Magnecor HT leads. Its run without issue for the last 6 years. QED remote thermostat. Radtec Race radiator. Caterham 6 Speed gearbox Newly refurbished/balanced prop shaft. 3.62 or 3.92 Diff (the 3.6 is currently installed). Split fuel tank - this allows a max capacity of 9.5l for sprinting and with the opening of a valve the full capacity for track day or touring. Two Aero fuel caps. Black Caterham on the back of the car for small tank and one on top of the tank for a full fast fill. Many other bits were new when it was rebuilt - to many to remember It has Bilstein Dampers with it for sale or as an option I will sell my Race 2 way Ohlins (if I must) - negotiable as an extra. I also have another set of MB rims and selection of outer rims available as extras. Price £20,750.00 Oh and did I say this car has won Class 5 for the last 3 years 😬 Photo's via email. It will probably go onto PH over the weekend.
