Leadership Team RogNeedham Posted August 23, 2011 Leadership Team Share Posted August 23, 2011 just looked at a few threads. CCM provided me with one of these here I have a stack dash so std drive not needed. I assume a bit of silicon to hold it in place? Rog
Rattie
It takes two usually. that one and this one for the wide end of the takeoff.
Mankee
My Tran-X box was blocked off using a suitable nut, bolt and sealant, which worked for the previous owner as there was no signs of any leaks. I'm reverting back to a cable-driven speedo though.
simonpa
Hi Rog - the link you posted is all you need. You will already have a plug that Rattie linked to - you need to remove this and pll the plastic wheel/shaft out and then replace it. The CCM plug then is driven in the hole left where the speedo drive was - it goes in dome-first, and needs a bit of 'application' - i.e. a hammer and maybe a plate to keep it straight while you drive it in. It's a very tight fit and shouldn't need any sealant! BTW - I'd be interested in your old speedo drive, if you are considering selling it :) I have a gearbox, but no drive.
