Phil B
Hi, Looking for an alternative to my ageing Crossflow CovRad item, which was struggling in the gridlocked traffic driving to Brands this week. Fine when moving along, just couldn't get rid of the heat even with the fan on. Is there somebody who has upgraded and has a low mileage item available? It may just need a jolly good flush through, but I thought I'd try a more modern unit while I find somewhere reliable to check out the old one. Don't want to be off the road with this lovely summer weather!! Phil
Drumster
Phil, Although I can't help you out with another rad I'd just thought I'd mention that after 13 years of the good old CovRad on my x/flow I decided to invest in an Ali one for the Zetec rebuild. I ended up buying the Ford Aluminium radiator from Caterham which so far has stood up well to some hot days touring, sprinting and a trackday. Might be something for you to consider. Rusty Bolthole
Phil, If you are not yet sorted I have emailed you as I have a triple pase ali rad modified to perfectly fit larger X/flow hoses. Also I have brand new Kenlow 1600cfm high performance fan with it which works beautifully in the tight space between chassis and front ARB Tim
LesG
Hi Phil, I got my Covrad unit recored through the 7 Workshop, came back looking like new, and even had a bleed screw fitted in the top. Works perfectly, and I'm now using it even though I've converted to K Series power.
