Mike,

I should have been very pleased to better my own PB, and beat the existing record by three tenths, but David Nelson showed us how quick a class three car really can go 😔.

David did a 61.44, then 61.22 to take 1.1sec off Adrians old record (to my 61.86). 😶‍🌫️

Tom did not manage to string enough good sectors together, and tested the grass out a little to often.

Malcolm Hickey was third on a 62.7ish.

61.22 from Mr Nelson in a class 3 car 😶‍🌫️ 😶‍🌫️ 😶‍🌫️

 

Frustratingly it does prove you don't just need more power to go faster...

I had to abandon my last run as the light was fading and the timekeepers wanted to go home

 

Hoping to do better next week but think it is more likely to be more of the same .... may be Class 3 would suit me better. If not, I can always try 2 or 1

I was pipped by the Chairman by 0.14s 😶‍🌫️ but well under PB and at least didn't get beat by TM in class 3 😳 which at one point was not looking likely

OK - so maybe I did run out of a bit of talent at the end! I am sure I remembered the track beign a bit wider there last time I went through the finish 😬 Of course, this time I actually did go over the finish!! Just as well they are pretty flexible.

It was the 'just hang on throught Quarry and throw it over the finish' plan - didn't quite work that time
