Paul Deslandes Posted August 10, 2011 Share Posted August 10, 2011 I think I'd start looking elsewhere, e.g. drive shafts and prop shafts., rear hubs, wheels etc. Severe imbalance/vibration in these can manifest themselves in whole tub shake which may feel like wheel wobble. Everything on the car was perfect with no play in steering or suspension joints etc etc etc. Could not find the problem then by chance removed a track rod end and found it to be stiff which is undetectable when in place. I spent ages looking for loose bits, worn bushes, several tracking adjustments, worn track rods etc then with someone else available (phil w) was able to determine that the rack was at fault. Once the rack was disassembled it was found that the yoke attaching the rack end to the track rod had broken, new rack required. Point is, no way would I find that on my own and no, the Phoenix is no longer terribly local for me, damn it :( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
