Fitting ACES sequential Shift lights

I am considering fitting a set of ACES Shift lights to my 1700 Xflow to help get the most from my now more peaky engine. Can someone please help explain how these fit electrically. I understand that they can take their feed from the tacho, but as mine is the mechanical type, I guess that's a non-starter. Can you take a feed from the coil to determine the revs?

Thanks - Michael.

I have not come across a mechanical rev counter - how does it get the feed from the crankshaft? I would have thought that the shift lights would take their feed from the back of the rev counter without any problem - failing that the LT connections from the coil should do.

Michael,

My new R400 had these fitted, but it was not wired up.

In explaining how to wire it up caterham tell me they only needed pos 12V and Ground and the signal wire, presumably coming from the coil or dissy.

However the suppliers web site seems to say they will work with all cars so your cat should be OK.

Have a look here:

Cheers,
