Simon Ed Posted August 1, 2011 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Has anybody got a hood they no longer need (aeroscreeners???) to fit my 2003 S3 Roadsport with an FIA bar fitted? I changed from the standard Caterham roll bar to a double diagonal FIA bar this year. The FIA bar is maybe an inch to two inches taller (but its not the very tall FIA version) than the standard Caterham bar and there is no way that the hood will fit the car now, it was already very tight with the normal roll over bar. Chris F Posted August 1, 2011 Share Posted August 1, 2011 Simon, I have a hood that has been gathering dust for a couple of years. Comes off an S3 with single diagonal FIA bar. The previous owner cut the tube off the front that sits against the windscreen and stops the ingress of water from where the poppers go (does that make sense? ). I did a DIY repair with some toweling and this seemed to work fine but obviously not like new. Blatmail me if you are interested. (won't be offended if something better comes along!)
