Accelerator position

Recommended Posts

I have a 1600VX and despite having about 20 washers on the accelerator pedal it is still too far away from the brake to make heel/toeing comfortable. What's the best solution. Should I start bending pedals or is there something else people would suggest.

Thanks

Accelerator pedal doesn't look that easy to bend and am wondering whether there are different types. Infact the brake pedal looks an easier option. Not sure I can actually move the brake pedal much further as there is already a bit of an angle between that and the piston mechanism.

Andy, thanks for your help 😬

Wow! you must have the smallest feet in the world. Are you sure you're not a mouse?

My feet are size 6.5 and I still struggle not to hit all 3 pedals at once!!!

Having said that though, since I got my 7 I have started h&t'ing in my friend's golf too!! You just have to have double jointed knees.

Try using a longer bolt - put the bolt through the pedal then put on a nut to stop the pedal moving to the right and then secure the remaining thread of the bolt into the chassis.

That's what my Caterham service agent did for me - simple but effective.

Cheers
