Simon Bryer
I'm thinking of buying Simon Rogers class 5 car so I was wondering if anyone would have any interest in mine. It's a class 3 Roadsport A 1998 R reg. The spec is as follows: -Caterham 6 speed gearbox -Supersport engine upgrade - solid lifters, higher lift cams, ECU ‘remap’ and uprated valve caps -The car has just had the head gasket replaced and Omega forged pistons fitted (costing around £1500+vat) -Dry sump system -ZF limited slip differential -Stack datalogging - this includes brake pedal sensors, steering input (needs new rubber band!) -It is road registered and has a current MOT -We have just fitted a new hub/stub axle/bearing kit, this is the upgraded one -Plumbed in fire extinguisher -Removable steering wheel and Momo suede steering wheel -Full cage, side bar, etc. -Just been resprayed in Viper Blue with a white nose -New 4 point harnesses -2 New seats (foam one fitted at the moment) I currently have a new set of compomotive wheels with Kumho's on the car but also have 2 sets of mini lights with good tyres. £13000 ono Thanks
paul jacobs
"and uprated valve caps" 😬 Where can I get some of these Simon? I guess they not only reduce the 0 - 60 time but add a couple of mph to the top speed too. Best of luck with the sale.
Simon Bryer
Hi Paul Yes, the valve caps are quite special To be honest I just copy and pasted the spec over from the email I had from the guy I got the car from! I dont even know what half of it means 😬 Either way if you want to buy the car I'll throw them in for you. Thanks, Simon.
myothercarsa2cv
The way I read it, I hope they come with the car - wouldn't want valves and springs flying everywhere Sounds like a nice car, good luck
paul jacobs
Oh, 'Valve Caps', I was thinking of some of those sexy little screw on tyre valve caps with fancy designs on the top of them In all seriousness Simon, your price sounds bang on the money for the spec. it should sell quite quickly to someone who knows what they are looking for. NoLimits
No Holes in the scuttle that I recall. Its been a race car for a while.
Gridgway
shame, nice spec for me otherwise!
Sheds Moderator
Hardly a show stopper. If you have £13k to spend and it's the right car then a few bob fitting a screen and drilling the scuttle is small change.
Gridgway
You could be right, but I suspect it adds up. Screen, stanchions, wipers, motor, washer stuff, doors, hoodsticks, hood.
