R2D2
I use Castrol Product 351 in my twin cam. This oil is based on the older CRI 40 that Ford used in the Escort Twin Cams. Old fashioned but I have uesed it in TCs for years. Oil pressure at idle is quite low with a hot engine and standard pump. 10 psi would be typical. I tried using an electrical gauge recently and had a zero pressure reading at idle, on a "new" engine that had been run on a dyno. I fitted a calibrated mechanical gauge and had a reading of 15psi. It seems that the tolerance of the sender and the instrument head combined to cause the error.
