Griff
Does anybody have a pair of the standard U-shaped steel clamping strips which hold the sides of the scuttle down to the body? I've changed my cage to an FIA bar and the strips I have are intended to go withthe cage. Cheers, Mike
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted June 30, 2011 Leadership Team Share Posted June 30, 2011 Once they're used they tend to deform to the shape of the scuttle channel/holes etc, so easier to buy new from Caterham. Have you not considered buying the captive nut versions? Stu.
jakeandlizzy
666 Racing do a captive nut set in Carbon for about the same price -- however, don't buy them as the ones they sent me had the captive nuts about 2mm too close so I had to modify my wind and aero screens
myothercarsa2cv
I'm pretty sure I have my old ones lying around somewhere...
Griff
Thanks for the feedback - will take you up on those clamps if you can find them myothercarsa2cv (have blatmailed you). Not so interested in carbon at the moment - my gym membership seems to be working and I've improved power to weight by 5kg in the last 2 months!! The Pikey
the new caterham ones have a aluminium strip that drops in the channel and stops it deforming. I might have a set somewhere if myothercarsa2cv can't find his. Jason
