Dry sump k series bell tower dipstick

As above. Looking for a dipstick that fits into the screw cap on the bell housing tower.

I think it's the standard item cut down and glued into place.

Ah, ok. To what length do you cut the standard one down? Does it just need to touch the bottom of the bell tower?

 

Has anyone got a standard dipstick I can use?

I may have a spare standard dipstick that was given to me by a kind forum user. The end is threatening to break off due to damage during transit, but if you are chopping it down anyway, then this might be ideal for you anyway?

Hi Mankee. Which end is threatening to come off? If it's just the handle end then i'll take it off your hands if thats ok?

Ah no, it's the oil end. Silly me, I thought you could chop the dipstick down and make an indent to mark the appropriate oil level. Sorry! But you are welcome to have it still though, once I've taken some measurements from it.

I got fed up with it falling out of the cap so welded a strip across the top of it to form a 'T' and put it in the tool box. The strip stops it from falling into the tank when dipping.

 

Mine measures 362mm from the plastic end to the underside of the 'T'.

 

You could make one out of a welding rod or a piece of dowel.
