billyboanerges
Help please for new to 7's guy I'm trying to help. All ready to go engine turns and usual electrics all ok BUT no fuel to cylinders and no spark! Could probs be linked? All fuses ok Fuel pump seems to make right noises but unable (yet) to remove fuel pipe in engine bay, button by battery pressed! Now at a loss without going back to the beginning. - Any ideas where to start? Thanks, Tony
tbird
Does the fuel pump run for a few seconds as soon as ignition key is turned, if not is the immobiliser working correctly, Tim

richy
How much fuel have you put in the tank? When I built mine I put 5 litres in and scratched my head for ages wondering why it wouldn't fire. Put another 5 litres in the tank and all was well!!!
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted June 3, 2011 Area Representative Share Posted June 3, 2011 Richy has good advice - make sure you have enough fuel in the tank - at least 10 litres.
TonyR
If you have both no fuel & no spark, check immobiliser has de-activated and power to ECU. Also check Crank sensor & connections. Tony
billyboanerges
Many thanks, I'll pass on all your wise words. Connections checked , inertia switch pressed, 10 litres of fuel added - immobiliser being stubborn looks favourite - reset as per instructions ?? billyboanerges
All resolved 😬 Don's car fired up after he discovered one pin on ECU connector plug wasn't engaging with the pin on the ECU. All down to CW at Dartford. Brilliant! Tony
