Blue-Lines
Has anyone upgraded the bulbs in the Caerbont Caterham branded gauges in an effort to improve their backlighting? My 2003 vintage seven has gauges that produce a feeble amount of nasty off white light, and look cr@p at night IMHO. I want to bling it up, whilst still being able to see where I’m going whilst driving at night! Are LED's a possible retrofit? Martyn
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted May 17, 2011 Area Representative Share Posted May 17, 2011 Yes - I have replaced mine with LEDs - a big improvement and a nice white light.

Stationary M25 Traveller
Yes - Ultraleds Edit ... Just make sure the head of the 9mm bayonet LED bulb isn't too big, or it won't go into the tube on the back of the small gauges. The tiny ones for (my) speedo and tacho are 286. michaeljclark
Just to drag this one back Had a ferret under the dash Tacho and Speedo are 286's as per SM25T's config, however I have 501 bulbs in my other gauge's rather than the bayonet jobs. Did CC change design at somepoint or am I special 😳 Mike
