LawrenceR
Having been told off for breaking the noise limit at Donington I think it is time for a new silencer for my k series S3. Ideally I would like it to be repackable and 6" or 7" but I will consider others. Thanks for looking Lawrence
Stationary M25 Traveller
Your starter for ten ..... PowerSpeed of Ashford in Kent. They have patterns for standard cars. Other manufacturers are available. I got one 7" diameter with a cat inside too.
LawrenceR
Thankfor the reply SM25T, I should have made myself clearer in my first e mail. I have looked at RaceCo, Powerspeed and BTB for a new one unfortunatly they are a few £££ more than I would like to part with. I will spend the money if I needed, but as I am not after a spotless example just something quieter for track days I thought I would ask if someone had one that was surplus to requirements. Thanks Lawrence Edited by - Thumbs on 20 May 2011 14:06:

makingff
I believe that Andrew Ashby may have something of interest... My 1.8VVC with standard exhaust was 96db at Brands yesterday. Simon
LawrenceR
At donington mine was 102 dB on drive by! It is 1.9k on throttle bodies and revs to 8k I think I may have to spend the money on a RaceCo silencer Lawrence
Markiebabes
Hi Lawrence Could it be the throttle bodies causing the drive by of 102db 🤔 Mine measured dead on 100db at Bedford but would fail on drive by ☹️ due to induction noise air box might help ? LawrenceR
Good point Mark. I have a Bernard Scouse airbox on but I don't know how quiet that is. I guess my attention has been on the exhaust given it looks so small (5") and quite old (1997 I think) Lawrence Edited by - Thumbs on 20 May 2011 14:03:
