DSL
I have two sets for the front AP big brakes (two pin type) surplus to requirements. They were removed after little use on two different 7 I owed & having just over 10 mm pad thickness on each set, both in excellent condition not dirty or rusty looking £30 each set. These can be delivered to Curb this weekend or post at I guess around £3/4 per set.
irrotational
Does set mean for one wheel? I have a set of AP brakes from 97 - will these fit do you reckon?
DSL
Haha, no a set means for one axle i.e front set = 4 pads I'm no expert on 97 car AP brakes but I have a suspicion that there is a difference, these use two pins that have a collet round one end to retain them
irrotational
Ok - my brake's have just run out on a trackday - I'll have a look tonight and see how they are held in. Is it ok to send you a picture to compare? I vaguely remember a couple of pins being involved.

irrotational
I did some searching in the archives - there are thread from 2002 which talk about a "new" AP caliper that takes oblong pads, with two locating pins, as opposed to the older style "crescent" pads. Mine are definitely crescent shaped and the pads themselves dont (appear to) have any locating pins - just the hex bolts that hold the bracket against their backs. So maybe I have been barking up the wrong tree...
