The cable should easily unscrew from the drive, you will then be able to test if its the speedo cable by spinning the speedo end of the cable and seeing if the other end turns. scooby dooby doo Posted September 21, 2002 Share Posted September 21, 2002 the whole speedo thing is nasty. the angle drive is delicate, the drive pin is delicate, the attachment to the gearbox is pants - its falls out regularly but is a nightmare to fit... I've given up on mine (4 failures in as many years) and fitted a bike speedo. will get a stack later... its held in by a circlip on the brass top hat and the angle drive then vaguely plugs in.
