robmar
last year i am sure they looked like http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/upload/1618zzr001.jpeg but the ones that turned up yesterday had about a third of the tread like http://sunwaytuner.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/08/6a00d834515a6e69e20120a4eb8935970b.jpg an image search on the web shows both tyres tread patterns, but on the official site they show the former http://www.avonracing.com/road_legal_page.aspx they look even better IMO but don't fancy them much in the wet rob

skydragon
FWIW both my sets of ZZR are the second pattern (less tread). I think you'll find that the earlier r13 ZZR had more tread, but when Avon developed the r13 ZZR type specifically for CC last year, that the tread pattern changed, to less tread and more grip. Stuart Miller 7
My ZZR from last year have less tread pattern. I am not sure if "tread" is the right description though. They may as well not have bothered. However, I shall be running the Kumho at Silverstone. I wouldn't want any accusations of "unfair advantage" from those old boys in class 4 if some of us young (er) ones were to run quicker......... 😬 saying that, if I'm slow then I might have to switch to the ZZR so that I have an excuse. david nelson
No this Great British car club failed to ban all British tyres, it was just ACB 10's as they cost too much and people think there better. David
