zak
Hi Doughnut question. Got some rather nice R400 wheels 15inch with 45 profile Avon CR500's and I bought one extra to have as a spare. I dont do track days yet - ony just got the car. 😬 The problem is the spare is too small for the carrier and after some jiggery pokery I can make the bolt thingy hold the wheel on but the tyre does not touch the carrier it is supposed to sit in. I am loathe to just 'bend' it up to meet as it is rather nicely painted a metallic blue. Any suggestions on how to resolve my rotating and rattling around spare wheel?? *confused*I know its a stupid question - yes I could just wedge it but I want a better option if I can. Be nice I just became a se7ener a month ago.  Zak
SteveP
I had a similar issue when switching from 15" to 13" - I just prop up the wheel on a couple of pieces of roll bar padding which is attached to the carrier. Seems to do the trick SteveP
zak
Hi SteveP,  Hell, that'll do. I have the spare sorted now just waiting for the Parcelforce man to deliver the other 4  Thanks Zak
Graham Sewell
Rather than roll bar padding (at £10 per metre) why not use pipe lagging from B&Q - It should support the weight OK and will not waste too much money! Low tech luddite - xflow and proud! I.Mupferit
Yep 15mm pipe lagging from B & Q does it for me. Brent
