GrahamV
Glorious weather so I took the Seven out for a spin at lunch time - clutch went at Cerne Abbas. I've checked all the usual things but I think its something pretty serious. I believe there is a fairly common problem with dry-sumped K series engines that the clutch release arm can bend or fracture - it means the engine and gearbox will have to come out ☹️ So sadly I have had to withdraw from Silverstone - and I was really looking forward to catching up with old friends. What an awful way to start the new season 😔 Hope to see you all at Llandow..... Graham
Mark Durrant
Graham Only the engine needs to come out, even then not fully, so it can be fixed in time. A dry sump clutch arm is available on the Caterham parts website so why not try to get it fixed. Fishy Dave
That happened to me when bringing my Seven home for the first time from France. ☹️ The new ones are a stronger design at least.
