2slo
The current state of our roads combined with what seems to be little std ground clearance causes me to question whether getting adjustable ride height added to the spec of my soon to be built new R400 might be a good idea. The car will have lowered floors and std dry sump. CC are doing a reduced price on the adj platform kit fitted for £390 at present. The car will be mainly used on the road. Would this be money well spent or is it not likely to be a problem?
Ozzy
For £390 it's a no brainer! If nothing else, it gives you the option to set up the suspension to your own taste. Nigel.
Support Team Shaun_E Posted April 8, 2011 Support Team Share Posted April 8, 2011 Surely the R400 comes with adjustable spring platforms as standard Edited by - Shaun_E on 8 Apr 2011 14:33:
myothercarsa2cv
Would have thought that would come as standard too?
2slo
Surely the R400 comes with adjustable spring platforms as standard Yes you are correct, it does. Thanks for pointing that out, I'd missed it in the spec. So, anyone with experience of duratec factory built cars got any thoughts on the ground clearance on the car as supplied. Adequate or not? Worth getting them to build in a bit more? I don't want something looking like a pretend 4x4 but there again I don't want a fractured sump either. Thanks, Mark. myothercarsa2cv
Wait until it's finished, and then go get it set up properly with you in the drivers seat to get the balance correct
