Pendennis
I would like to purchase a fitting that connects to the fuel flow pipe. The flow pipe exits the tunnel into the engine bay, the copper has an external flare and the nut is male. I have been trying to find a fitting that secures to this and converts to -6 or 8mm tube. Can anyone help?
Support Team c7trp Posted April 4, 2011 Support Team Share Posted April 4, 2011 The Guys at ThinkAuto sorted a fitting out for me. Let me know if you need the part number...
Pendennis
Thanks, I would love a part number. As I was at Think Auto 18 months ago and they didn't have a fitting then
Bricol
Cut the flare off and use a Wade or similar type compression fitting. Any pneumatics / hose place should be able to sort you out. Measure the copper pipe well - or take it. 8mm and 5/16" are close, but the 5/16 olives won't go on 8mm tube, and 8mm olives don't seal as well as they could on 5/16. myothercarsa2cv
How about something fancy like this? Like the look of these.
Pendennis
Bri, your advice is sound of course, but I know a male to female union exists as K80RUM had one on his installation, but cannot remember where he sourced it

The Pikey
I cut mine off and fitted a Goodridge hardline fitting. One end was a 8mm compression fitting for the metal pipe and the other end went to -6 braided. Jason
