water temp

Hi, did a track day at Llandow Saturday, on the journey down water temp was normal but once on track would fall back to zero, on the way to the petrol station it reached normal but back on track after 2 or 3 laps would fall back to zero heater stayed hot and water level was good. is it likely to be temp sender or some thing I should be worried about . 1800 vvc

Sounds like the sender breaking down at higher temperatures, (hopefully ...... rather than an air lock travelling round the system !).

 

Cheap and easy enough to replace to eliminate it from enquiries !
