Graham Sewell
So no clues in case we want to stay up till midnight to be the first bidders?
Wight Skipper
You will have to wait! But I assure you it WILL be worth the wait! A lot of specialist collectors have been badgering me to sell these for ages but I said 'No! The Lotus 7 community must be given the chance to bid for them.' I have ruffled a few feathers at Bonhams too as they wanted then as well in a specialist sale. No matter. I feel that I have done the honourable thing and let the market decide the value. Humbly yours, A. Wight Skipper esq.
myothercarsa2cv
Do you want the auction to run its course? I could do with an intact fog lens.
Wight Skipper
Oh. I have to let it run now really. Keep an eye on it as it may not get any bids! 😬

Area Representative skeetsy Posted March 28, 2011 Area Representative Share Posted March 28, 2011 If I were to bid for these fine items I'm not entirely sure that I would want to take the risk of having such fragile things posted! (I believe that the fog lamp lenses are made of something akin to sugar glass!) Could I collect in person?
Wight Skipper
Rest assured that they will be packed as if it were a Faberge Egg I was selling. If you collect in person you will get a free beer.
gin-fizz-whizz
With a pint now about £3.50 it's tempting to bid and collect just for the free beer and be a £1 up on the deal
Wight Skipper
After all that the bloody buyer won't pay! Doh.
