Ade Ray
last night but found that none of my allen keys seemed to fit. My car first saw the light of day in 1996 although I do not know when the engine was produced. Is it possible that my keys are metric and I need a different set. I am a bit b######d if I ruin the bolt ends using the wrong stuff. Any ideas?? Ade Make the world a better place, hug an estate agent
sjwb
Ade, If you were using metric allen keys then there may be your answer. I thought that your block had Unified threads, meaning that you will need an Imperial meaurement allen key. Tip: The Across Flats dimension is stamped on one of the flats of the key ie 1/4" A/F or 6mm A/F. Steve B
Alex Wong1697456877
Is it definitely an allen bolt? Don't know zip about crossflows but the Vx has the odd torx cap bolt just to confuse things. These are star shaped. Most likely it's an imperial allen key that's needed though. Graham Sewell
My xflow has bog standard hex headed bolts - just needs a A/F socket to remove them. Low tech luddite - xflow and proud!

puremalt
Machine Mart do AF sized everything should you be struggling to get imperial stuff. And you can order online. Dave Robertson
