TomB
Has any one any suggestions where I can get a piece of 5mm plastic tube to attach to the battery to drain any acid spills down past the footbox and exit under the car? Ill try a local hardware shop at lunch time, but failing that Ill need a web supplier. I probably need half a meter - the current short pipe I have isnt long enough and I havnt the foggiest idea where it came from. Its currently clear bendy plastic, and 5-6mm in diameter, with internal diameter of 2-3mm. Edited by - TomB on 2 Mar 2011 09:37:

Pierson
...or perhaps a tropical fish/pet store? I may have a spare Banner battery drain pipe complete with the 90 degree black plastic elbow - can't recall how long it is but the one I have fitted to my battery exits well below the pasenger footwell with the battery sitting on top. If you can't find any suitable tubing elsewhere let me know and I'll have a look to see if I still have it - you're more than welcome to it if it helps.
