Nick Woods Posted September 16, 2002 Share Posted September 16, 2002 I went through all this a couple of months ago, it took 3 phone calls to Caterham, 3 walks to the MOT centre (300 yards from work) and a whole day to sort it out. If the car registration document says 'kit built' on it you only have to have a visible smoke test. Take your reg documents with you as they'll need to see proof. Theres a thread here which gives more detail about the wording. Technically you also need side repeaters for the front indicators if you dont have them but a lot of MOT places dont know this so you may get away with it (unless you have them on already of course) Nick P8MRA - The green one with red wings Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Just back from a trip down to the Nurburgring with the 7. I will have the MOT done at Mike Brend`s. Off to Brands GP trackday in Oct with Easytrack.
