Mowerman
Simple little question..... Changing over to Big Brakes, how much brake fluid will I need to get in preperation? Cheers Kev
myothercarsa2cv
I think I got two litres when I built the car, and had most of the 2nd bottle left over even after some fairly intensive bleeding. You probably won't need to bleed the system too much if you're careful; but make sure you get the same stuff as what you already use!
Stationary M25 Traveller
I would suggest at least a litre, as you are going to want to bleed all four corners. Don't forget there are two bleed nipples on each of the new big brakes (fit with nipples upwards !!).

MADMALC
Empty the master cylinder to just above the exit point. This saves having to push all that old fluid through the system. I use an old trigger spray head, just put the inlet pipe in the fluid and squeeze away being careful to aim into something like a tin or glass jar. TeKK
A vote here for using a Gunson Eezibleed (using a spare tyre to pressurise) Once I'd got all the gubbins attached and bled out the old fluid as suggested, it was a breeze to bleed all the brakes. Stationary M25 Traveller
Another vote for the EziBleed, but don't fill their bottle with brake fluid. Just top up the master cylinder as required. Any leak between EZ cap and MC will result in catastrophic brake fluid spill !
MADMALC
Agree with M25, your seals do not have to be perfect either so much safer and easier all round.
