R400 Front Wishbones

Guys,

Thanks for the help on my prop question last night. *smile*

I thought I would come to the Sevens font of knowledge again with a question re my front wishbones.

They are allready built now and complete on the car.

But ( as usual !!) the manual contradicted its self re the spacing washers.

The manual has a diagram showing the lower wishbones with two 1/2" washers either side, of both sides of the w/b.

Then in the next section it tells you to change this for a widetrack to just 4 washers at the rear of the w/b.

I know this is for a change in the suspension geometry, but is it OK?

Also in doing this I can no longer squeeze in another washer next to the other side of the wishbone, is this also correct?

Thanks again in advance.

Nige.

Morning Fred,

Thanks for the advice and the pic.

Thats the way I have it, so by pure luck its correct.

Wait a mo, thats the whole caterham build philosophy is'nt it - hope and pray then a bit of luck?

I notice you also have pwp from Blueyonder. I have set mine up here too but need to get around to posting the pics so far.

May be later.

I off into the garage now to start on the prop/axle and rear suspension.

Im sure I may have more questions later tho.

Thanks.

Nige. *wink*
