Leadership Team RogNeedham Posted January 24, 2011 Leadership Team Share Posted January 24, 2011 erm having received upper wishbones back from plasticoating (not powder) - not enough release agent was applied to the anti-roll bar socket. Any tips/ safe chemicals that will remove the stubborn coating at the bottom of the socket ...swearing doesn't seem to help Rog
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted January 24, 2011 Area Representative Share Posted January 24, 2011 Rog, Thinking a little about this one, you may need to return them to Kelcoat for them to be acid dipped, blasted and re-coated as this stuff is so tough and resistant. I wouldn't expect there to be a charge Just a thought Nick ----- Back in a BEC! - but done alright in Class 1...
Sheds Moderator
Get a brass brush in a Dremel or other drill, polish it out with this. Brass is better than a stell brush as it won't touch the steel socket.
Stationary M25 Traveller
If you leave it in there, does it mean the plastic ball will be a better fit ? They get rattly very quick normally !

Have spoken to Kelcoat and they're happy to re-do I'm sure if i try dremelling the socket I'm likely to get in trouble Rog
