TomB
While looking for replacement brake discs on Moss Europes website (a Triumph specialist) I came across a big brake conversion kit for a Spitfire. here Is there any reason why this wouldnt fit a S3 7? Its my understanding the 7 uses a Triumph upright and Spitfire callipers, so would this work? Im just curious, so not volunteering to be a guinea pig! Paul McKenzie
£50 cheaper than CC, but no braided hoses and you'd have to make sure they're OK for 13" wheels...so why bother Edited by - Paul McKenzie on 3 Jan 2011 19:26:
jeremybu
Canley Classics do a kit too - here. IIRC you will need to add hoses and pads which you can get from Redline easily enough. I fitted this kit but I did need some anti squeal pads on the back of M1144s. Canley also sell original AP discs at £62 but I believe a call to another parts supplier may allow you to buy for similar (may be worth asking about brake kits too as they may now supply a Caterham alternative). 1.6 SV - GJ02JLO - If there's one thing I've learned, it's that it should have been something else. Paul McKenzie
Those AP discs are less than half the price of CC...and the same part no
jeremybu
They definitely are the same disc. 1.6 SV - GJ02JLO - If there's one thing I've learned, it's that it should have been something else.

Gary Stone
If it's any help, I built my 7 23years ago using Triumph GT6/Vitesse uprights & callipers. The callipers & discs on those cars were bigger than the smaller Spitfire items. I think the discs are 9inch. Whilst the uprights looked different from the Spitfire ones, the callipers & discs bigger, they still fitted inside my 13inch Superlight wheels. Superlight R'66 GMS 'Flying Very Low'...
