Paul White
I've just had a sneak preview at my Xmas present from the Missus (a new MOMO 12c steering wheel) and it appears to be upside down compared to my existing MOMO Quick Release steering wheel By which I mean one requires the 3 screws to be a triangle, pointy side up, and the other to be pointy side down. Can you get the QR mount the other way up? K80 ROM, Roulette green R400
Stationary M25 Traveller
No problem ..... Just detach the clamp at the bottom of the column and rotate it as required and refix. May take a few goes to get it right ..... Fine splines so good adjustment.
Paul White
OK that makes sense, but I was hoping to be able to swap the steering wheels over when I felt like it... By "the clamp at the bottom of the column" do you mean at the rack end? K80 ROM, Roulette green R400

Stationary M25 Traveller
Thought new wheels came undrilled ...... Mine did. You could always put another set of holes in one of them. Think of the weight saving !
Paul White
Yes it is undrilled, but the triangular section to drill is the other way up 😔 Another set of holes, brilliant! That's 2 jobs to do on xmas morning then 😬 K80 ROM, Roulette green R400 Edited by - Paul White on 9 Dec 2010 21:53:
NoLimits
You have sneaked a peak at it upside down. 😔 The 12c has the gap at the top not the bottom. www.7tips.co.uk - for all 7 related parts and upgrades.

Rattie
BTW, if anyone was unaware, the splined section is a standard 36 spline coupler. The happy upshot is that you can easily adjust the wheel angle by 10 degree increments. I had to adjust by 30 degrees IIRC when I fitted the 7Tips Rapfix upper column. Drumster
Paul, you're quite right. I have a Momo 26 and a 12c and from memory the 12c needs an inverted triangle of holes and vice versa for the other. As I have only a standard boss it's quite easy when swapping over to release the boss and turn upside down. Chris Alston C7CAT Supersprint
Paul White
damn - just realised, one wheel will be an "OWOW"
Stationary M25 Traveller
But isn't that appropriate ? With two sets of holes it will still be a Momo !
Drumster
both mine say 'MOMO' when on the 7... see here Chris Alston C7CAT Supersprint
Paul White
Thanks Chris! You can stop rubbing it in now. If only I had those pictures when I was trying to explain about "pointy triangles". I have booked a call from the QR designer at Lifeline to ring me on Monday just in case there's a simpler way.
