Sprites and Spridgets

As said, Peter May is the man, but more particularly for engines. My father had his engine rebuilt by Peter (possibly the only 1500 he's ever breathed on!) and it's still very strong over 15 years on.

Frontline do some very nice looking conversions - I quite fancy getting an old Midget and doing some mad things to it to surprise a few people...

Perhaps I ought to finish the current project first - nearly there though. 😬

For FAR less than the cost of "proper" new telescopic dampers, I fitted 40% uprated lever arm units and shorter stiffer springs to my old Midget (from Welsh MG Centre).

This alone made a huge difference, the car felt 10 years newer.

IIRC some of the classes in the MGOC series stipulate lever arm dampers anyhoo.

Good luck

I did the Frontline front kit on mine, and very nice it was too. I also bought the full PU bush set from them for the rear end, but never got round to fitting it before I sold the car on, so they're up for grabs, cheeply, if that interests you at all.

Also got the manifold/Weber/ram pipes that I had on it at one point for sale if sir is feeling flush.
