MBB
Getting near to the PBC - only trouble is I can't get the clutch to work. Bled the system several times, tightened everything up, still no joy Tried the method of pushing down the (short) drive whilst operating the clutch but that didn't work. Any suggestions or do I just leave it now for CC to sort out in the PBC? Mark Roadsport 125 SV build started Photos on flickr Build Diary
Stationary M25 Traveller
What does, or doesn't, happen ? Does the pedal move all the way ? Does the clutch fork move .... Just not far enough ? Have you got an adjuster on the link between the slave and clutch fork ..... Not sure what system is fitted.
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted November 25, 2010 Area Representative Share Posted November 25, 2010 Mark I helped Peter (Domus) with his build and he had a similar problem. There was very little movement on the clutch pedal and we needed to move the pedal stop all the way in. Peter also used a small pump to suck the fluid through. I'd start by moving the pedal stop and try bleeding again. Good Luck Paul Richards Area Representative - L.A.D.S. billyboanerges
Moving the clutch pedal stop was necessary to bleed my Sigma clutch Paul - Not forgotten about email. Tony
Domus
Give yourself a long stroke 😬 After that, adjust the pedal stop to the very end, then try bleeding again Good luck www.peters7.co.uk
MBB
Pedal stop already at the end. Noticed that the fittings on the piping had become loose (spraying clutch fluid all over my drive 😳) so tightened them up & tried to bleed using an easy-bleed kit - absolutly nothing seemed to be coming through the system & the clutch now seems to be perminently disengaged Mark PS peter - do you still have a copy of the IVA check sheet that you could send me? Rattie
Have you tried reverse filling it through the nipple up into the reservoir? Worked well for us and keeps gravity working in your favour. Could you now have fluid all over your clutch friction surface? Depends wherer your leak was obviously. Martyn R300GRR
