Rattie
I need to remove the bolt from the top front wishbone bush, so that I can swap over to the new style headlamp mounts, but the ARB is nicely in the way. I'll need to detatch the ARB mounts, that's ok. I'm really just wondering how much I'm going to need to take apart. Has anyone done this without detatching the radiator mounts? simonpa
Hi Martyn, you should be able to just undo the headlamp bolt nut (should be on the rear of the bolt) and then knock the bolt in enough to locate the headlamp bracket. Shouldn't need to remove the bolt. Let me know if this doesn't look like it will work and I'll check my SV when I get home tonight.. Rattie
Simon, if only I wasn't being so awkward. No such luck, I'm fitting the new style brackets in place of the original two point style. These are based on a addle piece that sits over the bush mount and is clamped by both the bolt head and the nut. So unless I cut a slot in the front flange, I need to get the bolt out and back in. 😬 Martyn R300GRR
simonpa
Ah - I see. In that case, removing the bolts and ARB brackets should mean that you can swing the ARB up or down enough to allow the bolt to come out.. HTH - Simon
