CaterBram
As asked....... my memory of discussions and is subject to change, and will be detailed in the new regs' Zetec - Allowed in Class 2&3, Max 1800cc, DCOE40 Webbers, Standard Cam, Standard Valves, porting is allowed, restricted to 150BHP will be monitoring speed trap speeds to assess if a fair spec. Dampers Class 1-4 restricted to single way dampers, class 5&6 free choice. Overall Championship Winner Slight tweeks to how overall champion is calculated, The overall champion will be selected from the 6 class winners, by calculated scores as a percentage of previous year class record best 5 events from 10 nominated events. Sigma Remap no amendment to reg's but will be monitored. Clarrification of MSA requirements for Passenger Seat All competitors must have a road legal passenger seat and seat belt. The seat should either be a seat type as being offered at any time as standard or option on a caterham. alternativly a bag type may be used Tyres No Change to current regs, MSA List 1A or 1B radials as per class structure there was some others but can't remember off hand what they were Q469 WET, 1990 1690 Xflow Long Cockpit in Ali except for the red bits. rgrigsby
Silly question but "The seat should either be a seat type as being offered at any time as standard or option on a caterham. alternativly a bag type may be used" what about those of us running something else such as a Mog seat? effectively it's a Tillet but technically it's never been offered by Caterham as standard or an option. CaterBram
I think the main intention was to prevent somebody bunging a piece of foam in and saying it was a seat, personally my interpretation was that as tillet type seat's have been a standard offering anything which is like a tillett type seat would be OK but the detail will be in the regulations. If in doubt drop Simon an email. Q469 WET, 1990 Long Cockpit in Ali except for the red bits. Soon to be a Class 2 150 ish BHP Zetec in 2011. Simon.Rogers1
Rob Just as explained above. I don't feel a bit of foam from some old bit of furniture would be in the spirit of the regulation. I would just add that this is an MSA requirement we have to comply with. Competition Sec Management Team Member If in doubt.......Flat out! rgrigsby
OK thanks for clarification, it sort of sounds like the Mog's will be OK. Rob G
