Anton
As there is only rarely covered parking available where I work this year, I've had to resurrect LE0's main roof in the last week as the rain's been a bit too heavy for the half roof. I've discovered a tiny hole in the rear screen - any suggestions as to how I could repair it?                 LEO 3eggs Another Slightly Vider SeVen
Stationary M25 Traveller
How big is the hole ? Temporary repair ... waterproof outdoor clear tape ... from DIY stores. Get SoftBits or Oxted Trimming to cut out old window and replace it ?
myothercarsa2cv
If you're passing Dartford, you can pop round and borrow mine if you like while it's away for repairs (I don't use it). Or, use gaffer tape like everyone else  John _________________________ myothercarsa2cv Bugsy: '82 2cv6 😬 Talloulah '08 1.6K Classic

myothercarsa2cv
D'oh! It'll stretch... *tongue*  John _________________________ myothercarsa2cv Bugsy: '82 2cv6 😬 Talloulah '08 1.6K Classic
Anton
Sometimes the SV roof won't stretch to fit the SV!!!!! SM25T - the hole is quite small - I'd already tried outdoor tape and it peeled off in the heavy rain. Eldest son has suggested I put some clear silicone in the hole and around it then try the outdoor tape - that will go on this weekend....................   LEO 3eggs Another Slightly Vider SeVen
Stationary M25 Traveller
Did you clean and degrease the area with Meths or Renovo prior to applying the tape ? If the hole is that small, I would apply clear silicone sealant from both sides and see how that goes, forget the tape.
Anton
SM25T - I used meths and tried just the silicone, but one tiny point kept curling up, which is why I put the tape on it. I'll pop into B&Q tomorrow and see if I can get some of the waterproof stuff................ LEO 3eggs Another Slightly Vider SeVen
